IMS Inspection Kit Replenishment Service - Keith Turnell

Inspection Kit Replenishment Service

The replenishment of a kit of gas turbine spare parts following the completion of a maintenance activity.

IMS recommend that, for performing scheduled maintenance activities on a gas turbine installation, a variety of spare parts should be on hand. In the event of problems being found with the machine during the gas turbine inspection, then the necessary components are readily available to rebuild the machine without any delay and subsequent down-time.

IMS can produce Recommended Listings for the various types of turbine inspections. These are specific to a particular installation and customers can keep these in kit form so that they are available prior to the scheduled maintenance activity or in case of an unscheduled problem.

However, at the end of the gas turbine maintenance work, there are usually a number of spares remaining and many customers have problems re-entering these individual items into their stock systems, as these spares will not have been stock coded. Rather than disposing of these remaining spares, as has often been done in the past, IMS can take back the used kit, advise the parts that are missing from the pre-defined listing, and return the fully replenished kit back to the customer, fully re-certificated and ready for the next turbine inspection.

IMS would be happy to discuss further this service with customers prior to the maintenance of their rotating machinery. Please contact us for more details.
