IMS Technical Information Service

Technical Information Service

IMS offers the provision of Technical Information, either by telephone, e-mail, fax, or letter, to assist customers to achieve improved availability and reliability from their equipment.

IMS personnel have many years experience of supporting different types of rotating equipment (including industrial gas turbines) that are located in many countries in the world, and which can operate under a variety of climatic conditions. By their very nature, modern rotating equipment are sophisticated pieces of engineering and there are occasions when a customer may require advice on a particular problem or situation from engineers whose background, training and expertise is in rotating equipment technology.

The frontline for IMS Technical Support is the IMS Customer Focal Point. Each customer has a dedicated Customer Focal Point assigned to him. This enables a long-term relationship to develop which will improve the understanding and communications between IMS and its customers.

Should a customer have a Technical query, they can first contact their assigned Customer Focal Point. If the Customer Focal Point cannot satisfy the query, it will be passed on to the appropriate Technical Authority within IMS. The Technical Authority will be an experienced engineer who will have a large database on rotating equipment operational issues at his disposal from the many years of IMS involvement in rotating equipment technology.
